Casey Hodges –

Casey (she/her) has been working therapeutically across both community and mental health settings for over 10 years. Casey specialises in trauma counselling work with families, adults, children and adolescents. Her experience includes working with people who have survived family violence, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, childhood attachment trauma and systems trauma.

Background and Experience

Casey’s therapeutic work draws on life attachment, neuro-developmental theories and family systems theories to support people to make sense of their experiences. Casey utilises a trauma informed feminist framework in her therapeutic approach; this means that she works to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship that honours you as the expert and endeavours to identify power structures that impact on individuals health and wellbeing. Casey is relationally focused meaning she creates a safe space in the therapeutic relationship for her clients to explore their feelings, thoughts and behaviours.

Balancing warm and direct, Casey is compassionate and curious in understanding people in the context of their culture, their environment and the systems that they live in.
